Whilst it is not compulsory to have a trial session of your hair and makeup, I encourage you to come and meet me ahead of time to test my work, see how you can expect your hair and makeup will look and discuss the elements of your day. This will ensure your look is perfectly matched along with addressing all your needs and any concerns. Most importantly, I want you to enjoy every step of this special process and look in the mirror and feel the most beautiful you have ever felt in your life.

Terms & Conditions:
Please take note of the following important TERMS & CONDITIONS when booking hair and makeup services through Aurum Bride (Rachel Pivetta). I encourage you to read these User Terms carefully as they are a legal document and, upon making your booking, you agree to be bound by these User Terms. It is the responsibility of the client who books to understand, agree and be responsible for all booking conditions, including all payments being made by the specified dates.

Time management is of the essence therefore adherence to booking times is critical in ensuring that Rachel delivers the service you expect and will be strictly adhered to. Should unforeseen circumstances arise, the onus is on the bride/client to advise Rachel as soon as practical. Rachel is not responsible if desired completion time is not met due to client delays. Rachel will notify the client of her arrival time upon booking using the timing information you have provided. If you need to make changes, please request this as soon as possible and Rachel will try her best to accommodate. If Rachel is set back due to delays caused by you or your group/wedding party, and if she is requested and required to overstay, (provided she can stay pending her other appointments), the client will be charged $65 per half hour exceeded to overstay the appointment in half hour increments only, (min. $65).

Rachel’s timing varies depending on the service required and technical individual requirements of the client. When allocating service duration for wedding/group bookings Rachel bases this on her usual time required for hair and/or makeup services. Makeup artistry is approximately 45min per person, hair styling is approximately 45min per person. Extra time will be required for speciality makeup, cultural makeup, extra-long hair, hair extensions, intricate styling requirements, tattoo/special makeup camouflage and special hair types. If any of your needs fall into this category please advise Rachel so she can ensure ample time is provided for your service. It is also recommended to send Rachel hair or makeup photos in advance of your appointment. Specified times for all services other than trials are an estimate only.

Rachel’s regular working hours are 7:00am – 4:00pm. When Rachel is required to start work or start her commute to get to you outside of these hours an outside of hours charge will apply of $55 per hour outside of her regular hours.

Please note that all prices are subject to change. If you have already paid the booking fee then you retain the quoted rates invoiced at the time of booking for the respective booking. The retained rates are not exempt from outside of hours charges ($50 per half hour before 7:00am), overstay charges (minimum $65 per half hour exceeded), kit packing fee ($50 for kit/s to be set up in a different room/area, per room/area), and travel charges (POA) due to change of appointment address.

General Bookings & Trials:
Bookings are subject to availability; please contact Rachel to confirm her availability. To secure any booking, you will be required to pay a non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee which is deducted from the total cost of the booking and will not be refundable or transferable under any circumstances. The booking fee amount is calculated by Rachel based on the size/requirements of the booking. The remainder of the service must be paid 14 days in advance of the service date or the client risks the appointment being unattended and cancelled without refund. Rachel will not hold any hair or makeup bookings that have not paid their booking fee.

A hair or makeup trial session runs for a generous 1hr 30min from the appointment time. An extended hair or makeup trial runs for 2hrs from the appointment time. If you are unsure what timeframe your hair style will require please ask. It is recommended that you provide a similar photo example in advance of the appointment for clarity.

Trial bookings do not guarantee or secure hair and/or makeup services for your wedding date. If you would like to secure Rachel’s services for your wedding date you need to request her availability and ask to book this appointment specifically as Rachel treats trials and weddings as separate appointments.

Wedding & Group Bookings:
Bookings are subject to availability; please contact Rachel to confirm availability. To secure your wedding/group booking you will be required to pay a non-refundable booking fee which is deducted from the total cost of the booking. The booking fee amount is calculated by Rachel based on the size and requirements of the booking and will not be refundable or transferable under any circumstances. The remainder of the service must be paid in full no later than 14 days ahead of the booking date or the client risks the appointment being unattended and cancelled without refund. If you wish to make changes to the appointment requirements Rachel will re-quote, however, Rachel will not allow a reduction of the original booking fee. If you need to cancel the appointment and do not want to be penalised for the remaining balance, then 90 days’ minimum notice must be given due to the advance nature of Rachel’s work. Rachel will not hold any bookings that have not paid their booking fee under any circumstances.

Rachel has a minimum booking of $750 for bookings required prior to 1:30pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The minimum call of $750 is equivalent to 6 full hair/makeup services. A 15% surcharge is applicable for any bookings that fall on a public holiday.

Preparations for Appointments:
The onus is on the client to prepare for their appointment accordingly to get the best possible results for their individual look. While Rachel is an expert in her field, there are limitations as to what can be realistically achieved for everyone.

Rachel proposes the following general advice to help the client achieve the best possible result from their appointment:

Makeup Preparations:

– Have a clean face and wear no makeup for the appointment, (moisturiser is okay so long as it’s not tinted)

– If you’re having a spray tan please ensure you have your face lightly sprayed too.

– Spray tans are best done 2 days prior to your makeup appointment.

– With regards to waxing/threadding, it’s ideal to allow at least a few days buffer between waxing/threading and the wedding day in case your skin is irritated from waxing/threading treatments.

– While I have a vast array of lipsticks that I can apply, I recommend supplying your own so you have something similar to reapply later, as needed.

– Due to COVID-Safe guidelines some makeup products cannot be used and include eye liner pencils and lip liner pencils. Rachel has alternative products that she can safely decanter for use, however, if you prefer to have an eye/lip pencil applied then please supply your own for the application.

– Please give ample notice for any allergies or special requests so I can try to accommodate.

Hair Styling Preparations

– Please have clean dry hair for the appointment (the exception is if you have booked in for a blow dry service). Dirty/oily hair will be refused for styling.

– Wash your hair the night prior to the appointment by shampooing thoroughly twice and paying a lot of attention to your root area, then apply a small amount of conditioner mid-lengths to ends and rinsing very well. Please blow dry your hair thoroughly (do not sleep in wet hair!)

– If you are booked in for a blow dry service on the day of service please shampoo your hair twice and apply a small amount of conditioner on mid-lengths to ends (if desired) and towel dry. Hair should not be saturated and dripping.

– Please do not apply any treatments, oils or styling products.

– For best results use salon quality shampoo and conditioner.

– It is okay to lightly straighten your hair if you like. If you have afro, frizzy or wiry hair and you would like a smooth hair style, please pre-straighten your hair unless you have booked for an extended styling session.

– Let me know if you or anyone else has hair extensions to be styled as I may need to allocate more time (if yes, ensure these are washed, bone dry and free of any product)

If the client and/or their booking group has any questions specific to their needs, please let Rachel know and she will be more than happy to help.

Rachel will require an adequate area to set up her hair/makeup station to deliver the service you expect. Where the area isn’t adequate, delays may be unavoidable.

Rachel requires access to a safe working power point, a bar/tall stool for makeup applications, a dining/low chair for hair styling, a roomy bench or large table for her equipment and natural window light for makeup. Additional requirements pertaining to COVID-Safe can be found under the subheading “Health and Safety”

Service & Office Hours:
Service hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm. Understanding the special and unique nature of events and weddings, Rachel can be available 24/7 by special request, by appointment only, subject to availability
Office/Phone hours: 9:00am – 4:00pm Please understand that Rachel may not always be able to answer her phone if she is with a client.

The client scheduling the booking will be responsible for full payment of all services in the event that other people in the wedding party/group do not pay their portion. For all bookings the full remaining balance is due 14 days ahead of your booking date.

Rachel accepts direct deposit only. Please allow at least 3 business days for electronic funds to clear. Electronic payments that do not clear before the booking date will not be accepted as payment of the respective invoice. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they reference the payment/s correctly by referencing the invoice number on your invoice and entering the correct bank details provided on the invoice.

Appointments are only tentatively held for 48hrs from the time and date the invoice was issued. After this the appointment may be voided if a retainer has not been received by Rachel and the appointment may be offered to another interested party without prior notice. If you are having difficulty viewing, receiving, or paying an invoice, please contact Rachel immediately. It is highly recommended that clients send a transaction receipt as proof of payment.

Secured group bookings which are not paid in full by the due date risk termination and will not be attended. Rachel will try to reach you to remind you of payment via your email and/or phone number you have provided her with. Failure to pay the full due balance will result in a final letter of demand which will be emailed to the address supplied, which if after seven days of this letter being sent full payment is still not made, Rachel will pursue legal action to retrieve those funds plus late payment interest of 7.4% per month overdue and any legal fees Rachel incurs whilst trying to recover the monies owed to her.

Rachel does not offer refunds for any completed services; therefore, if you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to notify Rachel whilst on location. Should you wish to meet Rachel ahead of time and test her work in advance of a booking for your occasion she highly recommends that you see her for a trial session prior to booking a wedding appointment with her. Trials and wedding/group bookings are always treated as separate bookings, so trial appointments do not secure wedding/other appointments. The onus is on the client to ensure they check availability, book in by requesting the appointment and pay the booking fee to avoid disappointment.

The booking fee is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no refunds of any monies paid toward any bookings where there has been any partial/full cancellation made within the three-month period leading up to the group booking/wedding.

Please confirm the number of services you have requested carefully at the time of booking as Rachel does not offer any reductions at any time for hair and makeup services. Should someone in your wedding/group booking cancel for any reason then they are welcome to be replaced with someone else, e.g. a guest or relative.

You will be charged the full amount of the service since the booking duration and time of the requested date has been specifically allocated to you which results in lost earnings/bookings for Rachel. It is your responsibility as the client to communicate and make the other parties aware of her rates and terms of service. Cancellations without 90 days prior notice will be charged the full cost of the booking. All booking fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. This also applies to weddings that have been cancelled due to any reason, including relationship breakdown or financial problems.

Cancellation of any booking by you must be communicated in writing, by post or email and will only be confirmed upon receipt of this. The complete booking fee will be retained by Rachel regardless of notice given due to administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your appointment.

Travel/Parking Fees:
A travel fee may be incurred depending on distance required to travel. If any hotel/motel and parking fees are incurred as result of the location of the booking, these will be passed on to the client as parking fees are not included in the quoted travel fee. If onsite parking is not available, you must notify Rachel immediately so other arrangements can be made. Please be aware that parking delays caused by the client may result in the artists inability to start the service on time, finish the total service booked, incur an overstay fee due to delays or get to the service at all. Rachel recommends that onsite parking be arranged ahead of time and provided to her to avoid disappointment.

Extra people wanting styling:
If any additional people or additional services are required on the day, but have not been booked for, this is not normally a problem and payment can be made via direct deposit on the day and will only be confirmed upon proof of payment. It is recommended that you give Rachel notice if others in attendance are wanting additional hair and/or makeup services so arrangements can be made. Rachel recommends that services for hair and/or makeup are confirmed in advance to avoid disappointment where she may not be able to cater to any extras.

Hair Extension Hire:
Hair extension hire is $100 and the additional fee for their security is $100. Only when the extensions are returned within one week of the appointment and in the condition that they were hired in will the security be refunded. The refund will be provided by bank transfer only. Please ensure you provide the correct bank information for the transfer. The hire fee is strictly non-refundable or transferrable. Please do not brush or wash the extensions. Failing to return the hair extensions at all or within the specified time frame, damaged hair extensions, damp extensions will have the security retained in full as fair compensation.

Minimal Makeup services are for juniors and only include lip sheen, eye shimmer an powder blusher. Age appropriate makeup is for juniors aged 12 years or younger and includes a choice of airbrush/conventional makeup, soft style only, (no bold or bright lips, no liquid eyeliner, no false lashes).

Full makeup includes the usual applications to the face area and lightly to upper neck only. Any other required applications will be charged for and quoted prior to application in the areas not included in our usual service, including but not limited to the back, chest and remainder of the body, particularly where extensive works and product applications are required.

Additional requests such as glitters, speciality lashes, gemstones, eyelid tape/netting, bold/unusual pigments and other special mediums need to be requested in advance which Rachel will quote for. Rachel does not usually carry speciality items in her mobile kit unless requested in advance. Please provide ample notice so arrangements can be made.

Should special or tattoo coverage be required please advise Rachel in advance so time and price can be quoted.

Health & Safety:
Rachel is not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to give advance notification to Rachel if you or any of your group/wedding party have a hypersensitivity that you are aware of.

Rachel reserves the right to stop work if there is any smoking, (including vaping), in or entering the vicinity of the makeup/hair styling area for her own health and safety. Rachel reserves the right to refuse service on any clients displaying contagious viral symptoms including but not limited to fever, coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea and suspicious rash to ensure her own health and that of her other clients. Rachel also reserves the right to refuse hair styling or makeup services on clients with head lice.

Children in attendance of the booking are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children are not to be in the service area at any time unless they are having a service and are being supervised by a responsible adult. This is for their own safety; Rachel uses very hot styling tools, operates electrical equipment and has very heavy equipment which can tip if not used correctly. Rachel is not responsible for watching any children. Rachel accepts no liability from any claims arising from any children’s injury while in the service area. Rachel reserves the right to refuse service without refund for misbehaving or uncontrollable children that she feels cannot be styled safely.

For her own health and safety, Rachel factors in her own rest and meal breaks when allocating timing to ensure she can produce her best work.

Rachel reserves the right to refuse the lending out of her equipment to clients, other artists, or stylists and third parties.

Rachel has always been committed to protecting her clients’ health and safety and of course her own, so hygiene has always been at the forefront of her business operations. Given the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic there are additional measures as required by law that Rachel must make to safely continue providing hair and makeup services to protect the health of everyone.

With regards to Covid-19 these are the measures that Rachel will require of her clients and their attendees:

– That hand washing facilities are provided.

– That you and anyone else present must maintain social distancing as much as practicable which is a minimum of 1.5m between each other.

– That you firstly disinfect your phone with antibacterial spray or wipe and then wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds prior to my starting your appointment.

– That you and any other client within the booking must provide in advance their name, residential address, and phone number which I will be required to by law to maintain a record of for a minimum of 28 days from the appointment/attendance date. I will not disclose your personal information to anyone unless it is required to by law e.g. Queensland Health or other Governing bodies. – That you understand the space requirements as set out by law that we all need to abide by. I will require a well-ventilated space for the hair and makeup service, and it must be at least 4sq/m per person with a maximum of 20 persons plus myself for that premises/hotel room. Please note that if you are getting ready in a small hotel room or have people in attendance greater than 20 plus myself, that some people will need to leave the premises/hotel room.

– Understand that per the government guidelines that you and others in the booking are discouraged from brining any friends or family members to any appointments if they are not part of the booking.

– That you are not to enter the premises and/or attend the appointment if you or anyone else is feeling unwell, have flu-like symptoms, of if you or anyone else has been in contact with a confirmed case and have been directed to self-isolate or you become unwell during the appointment.

– That any inspiration photos of your desired hair and makeup look be provided in advance where practicable, or that they be emailed or txt to me for my reference as I will not handle your phone. Email: rachel@aurumbride.com.au Mobile: 0415 212 313

Understandably, with these new measures in place it means that the duration of hair and makeup appointments may take longer than usual. For timing estimates please enquire with Rachel so she can discuss your requirements for hair and makeup and a timing estimate can be provided inclusive of cleaning and sanitization requirements.

Force Majere:
Aurum Bride shall not be liable for any failure of or delay in the performance of this agreement for the period that such failure or delay is

  1.  beyond the reasonable control of Aurum Bride,
  2.  materially affects the performance of any of its obligations under this agreement, and
  3.  could not reasonably have been foreseen or provided against

This clause does not excuse payment of monies due.

An event of force majeure is an event or circumstance which is beyond the control and without the fault or negligence of the party affected and which by the exercise of reasonable diligence the party affected was unable to prevent provided that event or circumstance is limited to the following:

  1. Riot, war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), acts of terrorism, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection of military or usurped power, requisition or compulsory acquisition by any governmental or competent authority
  2. Ionising radiation or contamination, radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel, radioactive toxic explosive or other hazardous properties of any explosive assembly or nuclear component
  3. Pressure waves caused by aircraft or other aerial devices travelling at sonic or supersonic speeds
  4. Earthquakes, flood, fire or other physical natural disaster, but excluding weather conditions regardless of severity
  5. Epidemic, pandemic or requirement to lawfully follow a public health direction from state or national governments
  6. Strikes or industrial disputes at a national level, or strikes or industrial disputes by labour not employed by the affected party, its subContractors or its suppliers, and which affect an essential portion of the works, but excluding any industrial dispute which is specific to the performance of the works or this contract.

Neither party is responsible for any failure to perform its obligations under this contract if it is prevented from, or delayed in, performing those obligations by an event of force majeure.

  1. Where there is an event of force majeure, the party prevented from, or delayed in, performing its obligations under this contract must immediately notify the other party giving full particulars of the event of force majeure and the reasons for the event of force majeure preventing that party from, or delaying that party in, performing its obligations under this contract and that party must use its reasonable efforts to mitigate the effect of the event of force majeure upon its or their performance of the contract and to fulfill its or their obligations under the contract.
  2. Upon completion of the event of force majeure the party affected must, as soon as reasonably practicable, recommence the performance of its obligations under this contract.
  3. An event of force majeure does not relieve a party from liability for an obligation which arose before the occurrence of that event, nor does that event affect the obligation to pay money in a timely manner which matured prior to the occurrence of that event.

No Liability. Neither party will be liable for performance delays nor for non-performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, except for payment obligations.

Best Efforts to Cure. In the event of a threatened default or default as a result of any cause beyond its reasonable control, the defaulting party shall nonetheless exercise its best efforts to avoid and cure such default.

Right to Terminate. In the event such an event prevents performance thereunder for a period in excess of ninety (90) days, then the non-defaulting party may elect to terminate this Agreement and/or cancel or suspend any Purchase Orders thereunder by a written notice to the defaulting party.

Damages, theft or contamination to Rachel’s property caused by any person, (including children), require on the spot compensation of equipment plus shipping costs of that equipment. This applies to damaged or contaminated items. As children cannot compensate, the client will be held responsible for on the spot compensation.

In the event that Rachel is not able to attend the appointment to provide hair and/or makeup services on the scheduled booking date the limit of liability is a full refund of all monies already paid for the hair and/or makeup for the directly affected appointment on the affected date only. As a courtesy Rachel will provide a recommendations list to the client but it is up to the client to contact the artist/stylist to check their availability and enquire about their rates. Where applicable and available, Rachel is happy to pass on any trial information to the new artist/stylist should the client request this and provide their details.

Rachel does her best to ensure the products she uses at a trial are also used on the wedding day but please be aware that there are situations beyond her control that may prevent this, such as a supplier discontinuing a product or a supplier delay in restocking a product. Rachel will always aim to replace the product with something similar.

Clients acknowledge that Rachel may use any photographs or images taken for portfolio, website and any promotions.
