What is a Hair or Makeup Preview?
When you have already booked your wedding hair and makeup you have the option to have a hair and makeup preview. This gives you the opportunity to feel pampered, see how the hair and makeup will look on you and discuss the elements of your wedding so I can help create a look perfectly suited to your wishes, with my expert guidance.
Isn’t this a trial?
Although the service is similar, a trial is traditionally a test of work which is done prior to formally booking your wedding hair and makeup. If you’d rather test my work ahead of a booking it is recommended to enquire my availability to see me as soon as possible for a session of this nature.
Are Previews Compulsory?
No, it is entirely up to you as to whether you’d like to have a preview session. Some of my brides are confident in my portfolio work that they are happy to have my guidance on the big day. Others prefer a preview session so they can better visualise their chosen look, and others prefer to test my work ahead of making their wedding booking. The choice is yours whether to see me prior or to just see me on the big day!
What types of Previews do you offer?
I offer time based appointments for Preview sessions. My most popular session is the Standard Hair or Standard Makeup Preview which allows up to 1hr and usually entails one look with minor tweaks. Pricing is $150pp for makeup and $150pp for hair styling.
My other Preview session is the Extended Hair or Extended Makeup Preview which allows more time than a standard session, allowing 1hr 45min hair and 1hr 45min makeup and usually entails one look with extensive tweaks or up to two looks. Pricing is $200pp makeup and $200pp hair styling. The ability to move from one look to another full look will depend on the styling chosen. If you are unsure, please just ask and give examples prior so advice can be given.
Where are Previews done?
My studio is located in Holmview (Logan) just off the M1. I provide the full address upon booking. (Please note that I rent so my location may be subject to change for advance studio bookings)
How soon should I book a Preview?
I am best available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for preview sessions around my weddings. I recommend booking an appointment as soon as possible to ensure you can be seen on your desired day. To give you an idea, I normally recommend scheduling a preview session 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding day as this is when you will have finalised many of th elements of your wedding so we can go ahead in creating your perfect bridal look.
