The Answers to Your Most Asked Questions 

These are some of the most common questions that I am asked about my hair styling and makeup services. I am always happy to help and welcome any other questions you may have.

Do I have to book both hair and makeup through you or can I just book makeup (or just hair)?


As much as I love doing both hair and makeup I also love working with other artists, and so understand that you may have a favourite hair dresser in mind and only need makeup, (and vice versa), so there is no requirement to book in for both if you only need just the one service.

Where will you be doing my hair and makeup service?
Since I offer a mobile service I can come to you in your home, hotel or where ever you will be getting ready at in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and Byron Bay… or if I need to jump on a plane so be it! Otherwise I am available in my Holmview studio by appointment. (Holmview is just a hop and skip off the M1 between Brisbane and the Gold Coast).

How far will you travel?
I frequently service Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and Byron Bay. I have been all around Australia for work and have been requested internationally.

How long does it take to do wedding makeup and hair styling?
My timing varies depending on the requirements of the individual and services booked. When allocating service duration for wedding/group bookings I base this on the average times I need which are 30 – 45min makeup per person and 45min – 1hr hair styling per person. Regardless, I always will allow more time than I think I will need to ensure fluidity and service comfort.

How much does wedding makeup and hair styling cost?
You can view my general pricing information via the “pricing” tab. If you’d prefer a comprehensive quote just fill out my contact form with the details of your wedding and I will get back to you. I can be booked on a “per person” basis which is best for general single person and group bookings, or an an “exclusive basis” which is best if you have a very large booking requirement, need me internationally or just want me all to yourself with no other bookings (such as trials) taken on that day, guaranteed. I always prioritise wedding clients but sometimes book trial clients around wedding appointments. To view more information on what each booking type entails, please click here.

Do you have makeup for my complexion?
I carry an extensive range of makeup colours to cater all skin tones and heritages such as Caucasian, Asian, Indian, African, Maori, African and albino skin just to name a few. If you are unsure then I welcome you to book in for a trial to test my work and view my extensive colour range.

Do you offer Previews?
I do offer and recommend preview sessions should you wish to have a clear idea of how you will look on your wedding day. You can find more thorough information about previews, pricing, location and when to have them via my blog.

What is the maximum number in my bridal party that you can cater to?
Working on my own I can comfortably cater to 10 makeup OR 8 hair OR 4 hair and 4 makeup. These are maximum numbers that I recommend capping at, despite having done makeup for a Matrix hair show for 22 models and a bridal party of 15 makeup with 3 juniors!

What brand makeup will you be using for my wedding day makeup?
I stock a range of professional makeup brands including Elementwo (airbrush), Hourglass, Becca, Marc Jacobs, Anastasia Beverley Hills, Stila, NARS, Face Atelier and INGLOT just to name a few.
